Receptionist
Description:
The Jockey Hollow Veterinary Receptionist is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and client care duties to increase efficiency while focusing on patient care and client care.
The receptionist is a representative of the hospital and must always act professionally, courteously and carefully. The receptionist is routinely entrusted with client communication in person and on the telephone. The receptionist is also responsible for correctly receiving payment, balancing the cash drawer and maintaining client billed accounts. The receptionist must be detail oriented and capable of acting independently to book appointments, respond quickly and calmly to crises and maintain high standards of record keeping or seek assistance from technicians to expedite care or client communication.
Receptionists need to communicate clearly with the doctor, other hospital personnel, and clients to ensure that patients receive the care that they need.
Assistant
Description:
The Jockey Hollow Veterinary Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of healthcare duties focusing on patient care and client care. We are a service industry and the assistant is responsible to act as an advocate and liaison for the client to our hospital.
The assistant must always act professionally, courteously and carefully. The assistant is routinely entrusted with patient assessments, anesthesia records, procedures, record keeping and treatments. The assistant must be detail oriented and capable of acting independently to make good decisions, respond quickly and calmly to crises and maintain high standards of patient care.
Assistants need to communicate clearly with the doctor’s, other hospital personnel, and clients to ensure that patients receive the care that they need.
Technician
Description:
The Jockey Hollow Veterinary Technician is responsible for performing a variety of healthcare duties that focuses on patient care and client assistance. The technician is responsible to act as an advocate and liaison for the client to our hospital.

Veterinarian
Description:
Performs a full range of professional veterinary duties, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, and surgery. Considerable independent judgment is necessary in this role. The veterinarian must be able to carry out assignments professionally and with excellent communication skills.
